Exploring the background of the emergence of companies (organizations) so called “Disrupters” (disrupters) in the industrial world these days, I will explain in terms of the history of computer technology, trends in technology, overview of advanced technologies and examples of its’ practical use. Regardless of the course that students choose in their career in the future, they will be required to be involved in the technology related activities or social style. Let’s get the basic knowledge of technology and way of thinking about how to face to the technology in order to make use of it to improve the society and quality of life. Contents The following themes will be taken up in the 15 lectures while adjusting the progress.
Evaluation Method Reaction papers:15 points ( Response to IIquiry by each lecture, Small report) , Report: 35points (Midterm or Later of the class) Writing Test: 50 points In Exams, basic understanding of the overall subjects will be required to answer. Evaluation Criteria S 100-90 Beyond the goal A 89-80 Reached the goal enough B 79-70 Reached the goal C 69-60 Reached the goal in general D 59 or below Not reached the goal A total score of 60 points or above is necessary to pass. The following condition is essential, 1)Small report/inquiiry more than 80% of all lectures will be required (online video viewing is possible for the purpose of reference), 2)A report assignments will be submitted in the middle or later of the course, and 3) The final exam (writing only ) will be taken after the course. Those who will be satisfied with all 3 essential conditions, is to be evaluated according to the above criteria.
